Biography

Mr. Richey joins CECO following service on the Thermon Group Holdings, Inc. Board of Directors from December 2023 until CECO’s acquisition of Thermon.

Prior to his retirement in June 2023, Mr. Richey served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ESCO Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ESE), a global provider of highly engineered products and solutions serving the aerospace and defense, industrial, utility, renewable energy, and testing end-markets. He served as Chief Executive Officer of ESCO from 2002 to 2023 and as Chairman of the Board from 2006 to 2023. 

Mr. Richey currently serves on the board of directors of Nordson Corporation (NASDAQ: NDSN). 

Earlier in his career, Mr. Richey served in the United States Army from 1979 to 1985.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Western Kentucky University and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. 

Mr. Richey brings extensive leadership experience in industrial manufacturing, global operations, and public company governance, along with valuable insight from his prior service on the Thermon board.
