CECO Environmental and Two Major Shareholders Purchase Approximately 1,252,000 Shares of CECO Common Stock

CECO Environmental Corp. , a leading provider of air pollution control and industrial ventilation systems, announced today that it has agreed to buy back approximately 626,000 shares of its common stock. Additionally, CECO's Chairman, Phillip DeZwirek, and Harvey Sandler, a major shareholder, have purchased approximately 313,000 shares each. All of the shares were purchased in a block transaction from an institutional seller.

Phillip DeZwirek, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, stated, "I believe, and the company believes, that CECO shares are significantly undervalued and that this is the most compelling investment we can make at this time. We have strong faith in CECO's future and this transaction clearly demonstrates that."
