CECO Environmental's Revenue Growth Strategy Validated By $600,000 Contract

CECO Environmental Corp. today announced that three of its divisions are working together for the first time on a major contract, cementing the company's role as a one-stop solution provider in the pollution control industry. The contract is worth in excess of $600,000. Under the terms of the agreement, CECO subsidiary Kirk & Blum will provide a ventilation and pollution control system for a specialty textile manufacturer in the southeastern United States. Kirk & Blum will design and build the ventilation system. Another CECO division, Busch Co., will engineer a drip resistant hooding system to prevent oil contamination of the production. Emissions will be controlled by CECO Filters' fiber bed technology. Work on the ventilation and pollution control system will begin immediately and is scheduled for completion in the first half of 2002.

"The combination of expertise, experience and technology needed to create this solution is not available from any other company," says Richard Blum, President and COO of CECO Environmental. "CECO's one-stop, turnkey service is a huge benefit for our customers. Normally, a company seeking this type of integrated ventilation and pollution solution would have to deal with two or three different contractors. This is also of huge value to our shareholders because, in cases like these, CECO receives a large order that would normally be split between three separate companies."

"The nature of this contract validates CECO Environmental's strategy to become a turnkey solution provider in the pollution control industry," Blum added. "Going forward, this strategic business decision will lead to increased revenue and potential growth opportunities for the company."

CECO Environmental's bookings through November 30th stand at almost $92 million, up 9.9% from the previous year.
